A WWE Mystery Was 'Solved' At Elimination Chamber But I’m Convinced There’s More To The Story
At WWE Elimination Chamber, Jade Cargill shocked fans with her sudden and unannounced return, but there is clearly more to the story, even if it's not yet evident. While she stormed the Elimination Chamber cage before the women’s iteration of the match could properly begin, she marched with purpose. The first two women in the ring, Naomi and Liv Morgan, were seemingly stunned when she entered the ring - but they were even more surprised that she swiftly assaulted Naomi.
After Jade was initially hurt, her tag team partner Bianca Belair had to find a new teammate to defend their Women's Tag Team Titles. She chose Naomi and the two had a strong run as a duo for months, so Jade going after Naomi was a shock. It must mean Naomi was the one who hurt Jade in the first place. Mystery solved, right? Perhaps not.
Jade Cargill Was Written Off TV After An Off-Screen Attack
There Were Suspects Including Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, And Bayley
Back in November 2024, Bianca Belair was in the ring in a match facing both Chelsea Green and Blair Davenport in the first round of the WWE Women’s United States Championship tournament to crown the inaugural champion. However, during the match, Jade Cargill was shown backstage, splayed out on the hood of a car. After being the victim of an apparent attack by a mystery assailant, Belair was momentarily conflicted about whether to remain in the match or run backstage to check on Jade - she ultimately abandoned the match and her chances at the new title.
In the immediate aftermath, Bianca was shown sprinting to the back, approaching the ambulance. While Naomi was already on the scene (as was SmackDown GM Nick Aldis and producer Jason Jordan), Bayley ran up shortly after Bianca. A concerned Bianca joined Jade in the ambulance as it drove off, leaving Naomi and Bayley in the parking lot. Bayley could be heard asking, “Is anyone out here?”

While John Cena joining The Rock and turning heel on Cody Rhodes was shocking, WWE had been dropping hints for quite some time.
In February 2025, Nick Aldis showed Bianca and Naomi security camera footage from the scene. While the attack apparently wasn’t filmed, the parking lot showed Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez walking back toward the arena after the attack. This revelation led to Bianca and Naomi accusing the Judgment Day duo of being the culprits and kicking off a feud that culminated in Bianca Belair and Naomi losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to the duo of Morgan and Rodriguez.
Jade Cargill Returned With A Vengeance
She Interrupted Elimination Chamber To Take Out Naomi
At this past Saturday’s WWE Elimination Chamber,Jade Cargill made a shock return as the women’s Elimination Chamber match began. Although fans expected her to go after Liv Morgan, she instead attacked Naomi. In the subsequent assault, she brutalized Naomiwhile Bianca Belair could only stand by and watch from her Elimination Chamber pod. Jade did such an effective assault that Naomi was not able to compete and, therefore, was the first to be eliminated from the match.
Bianca Belair was in hysterics throughout the attack, seemingly shocked and distraught at the events. When her pod was opened, she immediately rushed to attempt to check on Naomi but eventually found her focus and went on to win the Elimination Chamber match. Bianca Belair has now punched her ticket to WrestleMania 41, set to face off against the WWE Women’s World Champion, IYO SKY.
But There Is Definitely More To The Story
Liv Morgan (And Bianca Belair!) Still Have Some Explaining To Do
There remains an air of mystery around the interaction that I am convinced means that there are layers yet to be revealed. Usually eager to guide the storyline on commentary, Michael Cole, Wade Barrett, and even Pat McAfee played their reactions fairly close to the vest. With Pat being the most vocal about his assumption that the actions could be pointing to Naomi as the culprit of the attack - it remained speculative and was framed as such.
Belair, for her part, is also displaying a slight shift in behavior that may be meaningful but also may be a purposeful red herring. Since the Elimination Chamber event, Bianca has continued to wear all white, a sharp contrast to Jade’s returning look in all black. While Belair has been asked her thoughts on the attack, shehas neglected to share anything concrete, rather swerving the question to re-direct attention back to herself and her Chamber win.
Questions remain about what Bianca knew and when, as well as her role in replacing Cargill with Naomi in their tag team. Could pure rage at being replaced be a motivator for Jade to attack Naomi, irrespective of who perpetrated her attack? Jade may have wanted to go after Bianca, but it was simply Naomi who was not protected by the Chamber's structure. Time will tell.
As for Liv Morgan, on the March 3 episode of WWE Raw, she again denied having anything to do with the attack and insisted, “I said I didn’t do it.” But the reaction from Dominik Mysterio is telling as he unconvincingly reassured her that he believes her. In fact, Morgan’s semantics may turn out to be important in the future as she continues to assert that she said she didn’t do anything - not that she actually is innocent.
As the ‘Road to WrestleMania’ continues, this storyline will remain one to watch as the storytelling in WWE under Triple H has clearly evolved. As the Final Boss, The Rock warned - we should all continue to expect the unexpected ahead of WWE WrestleMania 41. The mystery of who attacked Jade Cargill hasn’t been solved as much as expanded to now also include the questions, why did Jade Cargill attack Naomi, and how was Bianca Belair involved?
